The spirit of unity comes when two or more individuals decide to recognize, share, understand and accept the differences existing amongst them; which could be in terms of culture, tradition and even custom. That is where the innovative idea of organizing the SEJAHTERA MARKET generated with as mission to promote the spirit of living together amongst students and to help shape them in a dynamic and economic form so that the world in which we living in would be lead tomorrow by socially and economically responsible people.

AIU as always, has once more answered to the perpetual question it is being asked about which is: What is it to be a Humaniversity? This time it answered it with a different perspective by organizing what we call AIU Central Market. The University offered to all the 50 countries that it includes the opportunity to showcase different items or sell out various taste of food from their own countries. Unquestionably, the AIU students or AIU’ans found the idea as such tremendous that they soon invested all of their effort into it in order to make it a success.
A couple of days before the central market, eyes alive with enthusiasm, we could witness the students rushing here and there to find the necessary materials to make various items such as bracelets, rings, key rings and so on. While some were occupied looking for materials, others were busy searching for the perfect and suitable condiments in order to make their food taste great. The morning before the night in which the central market was held was more exciting than the previous ones: the ladies in the kitchen and the gentlemen building the kiosks behind which they will sell at their very best. And before the evening, everything was ready for sell and consumption.
Not to forget the location, this time the central market was held under the splendid Administrative Building. With its magnificent architecture and its colorful lights shining from all the different corners, the building gratified the dream of an amazing place to sell or showcase anything at any time.
Subsequently, SEJAHTERA MARKET started in an exotic atmosphere full of sounds of different types of music and the students shouting to get the customer’s attentions on their products. One of the things that made the event so glorious and wonderful was that the university was holding at the same time the Conference on University Leadership on Indigenous Knowledge for Sustainable Livelihood.
Therefore, many high educated people from around the world were present to assist the event. They’d the chance to taste the spices and the sweets of countries that they’ve never been to and they also had the chance to experience what diversity really means. All that in a small vicinity named as Albukhary international University. A University that brings the Humanity to live and cooperate together and that is why the appellation of Humaniversity comes in.
The session ended with applauds from the crowd and a dance from all the participants. Though it was very demanding, the AIU’ans proved that the syllabus “IM” in the word impossible could be erased to make it possible.
